We are excited to announce our plans for a Hunger Games Midnight Release viewing party at the Ipic theaters. We will have the same deal as the Breaking Dawn viewing party, with popcorn and a drink included in your ticket price. You can choose between premium and premium + plus seating. We are also working with the Capitol Area Food Bank, in true Hob fashion, to bring food to the needy.

The real WEDDING OF THE YEAR comes to DVD on February 11th...Save the Date for the Austin Twilight Moms Breaking Dawn DVD release party!

A Celebration in honor of the 'Wedding of the Year' will be held Saturday February 11th, at 5pm.
Ms. Jill has offered to host this year's DVD party at her home in Cedar Park.

A complete meal will be provided. Tentative menu is Italian, including lasagna, bread, salad and more. And for dessert, a wedding cake even Jessica Stanley couldn't scoff at.

As is tradition there will be goodie bags filled with Twilight swag. Guests are asked to think creatively to come up with a Breaking Dawn themed party favor at the $1 per favor price point. Feel free to pool funds with your Twi- twin for an uber gift! The host has requested no edible items be given.

Each guest wishing to be included in the goodie bag head count needs to RSVP by February 1st with Ms. Jill regarding participation and your intended favor item to avoid duplication.

Brass Ovaries Review

One of the vendors who provided free passes in our ALS charity baskets was Brass Ovaries. I didn't win, but hubby gave me a gift certificate for 5 classes as my Christmas gift. Tonight was my first class. I took Pole Dancing 101, along with 5 perfect strangers. Yes, I was the oldest and least in shape, but none of them made me feel conscious of that. We wore shorts and t-shirts, and went barefoot. The class was a blast and a real workout. Definitely more fun than any aerobics class I have tried before. I highly recommend the classes. The Austin Chronicle voted them the "Best Fantasy Fitness." Thanks to Miss Sophie for making me feel like I was doing a great job.

Besides, you can always say, "Alice made me do it!"

When owners of a Utah based book store, Stacy and Jason, first started shelving books from new author, Stephenine Meyer, they had no idea just how much their lives were about to change. I couldn't agree with Lauralee more. It was an amazing night! Lots of fun and thanks to all of you, we raised $1200 for charity. We loved planning this event for you and hope you enjoyed it half as much as we did. We will start planning for next year very soon so keep up with the blog for all the details. We would love to need 2 or even 3 theaters to fit everyone in!

Emerald sand from Brazil by Reliquary Arcadia in "Honeymoon" basket at Breaking Dawn ALSF auction

Etsy shop Reliquary Arcadia has donated a glass vial of raw Emerald sand from the Carnaiba Mine in Brazil.

You can have your own little bit of 'Isle Esme', Brazil! This is an unique glass tube of raw Emerald sand from the Carnaiba Mine in Brazil. An interesting addition to that Curiosity cabinet or nature table. Fun conversational piece to use in mixed media or altered art. Over 3 ounces of emerald sand contained in the glass tube and labeled with a copy of a vintage Victorian label. Tube measures about 6 inches long. That's a lot of sand!

Reliquary Arcadia shop owner Ms. Heather grew up exploring in 1800's mines, digging around for mineral specimens with her brother and father. Ms. Heather acquired the Brazil Carnaiba mined, raw Emerald sand, from her big brother who deals professionally with gem and mineral specimens.

As Ms. Heather's brother prepared an emerald rough for its intended use, it was washed out, leaving behind a gravel like mixture of silt, sand and clay. Further washing and screening reveals the gravel to be small raw emeralds in beautiful shades of green. This gravel is typically thrown out. Ms. Heather was gifted the raw emerald sand and after using much of it for her own personal crafts, she decided to share it through her shop, Reliquary Arcadia.

Ms. Cecilia at Totally Obsessed has contributed a set of 6 hand painted glass ornaments to the Austin Twilight Moms Breaking Dawn premiere event and fundraiser You can bid on these ornaments as part of the "Twilight Christmas" auction basket with all proceeds going to Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation.

Four of the ornaments from Totally Obsessed are matte black glass and include the most amazing hand painted book cover images and titles. Ms. Cecilia has also included a clear glass "Why am I covered in feathers" ornament, filled with fluffy white feathers. Utah based Fiction Addictions has graciously provided two tshirts to the Austin Twilight Moms Breaking Dawn Event, one for the guys, and one for the ladies!

Guys love Alice. She's got great taste in cars. She's got spunk and is an absolute doll. Fiction Addictions "I LOVE ALICE" tshirt for guys is perfect for the Twiguy in your life.

The "Wolf Girl" shirt by Fiction Addictions will also be available as part of a 'Team Jacob' gift basket.

Ms. Lynda is a fan of the Twilight saga, Percy Jackson series, Fablehaven, and the 'I am Not a Serial Killer' series. She's decided to not disclose if she is a member of Team Jacob or Team Edward...maybe she is Switzerland! Ms. Lynda's true passion is graphic design. She also owns a company called 2Day Designs (www.2daydesigns.net)which enables her to create her first Twilight inspired tshirts.

In August of 2008, Ms. Lynda made shirts for she and her family to wear for a Breaking Dawn book release party. They had admirers following them around the book store, asking for the shirts off their backs. By the end of the night, over 30 orders for custom 'Twilight' inspired shirts had been placed. And Fiction Addictions was born!

Fiction Addictions has since expanded to carry a complete selection of tshirts, buttons, stickers and other items inspired by popular authors such as; Aprilynne Pike (Wing series), Brandon Sanderson (Mistborne and Wheel of Time), John Brown (Servant of a Dark God), and Dan Wells (I am Not a Serial Killer series). The new Premiere location offers a party even Alice would be proud of! Join us starting at 10pm on Nov. 17th in the iPic lounge for the raffle benefiting Alex's Lemonade Stand. Welcome to the Austin Twilight Moms fundraising page! We are a group of ladies from central Texas (and beyond) that found friendship through our mutual love of the Twilight Saga book series and movies.

For the past four years we have hosted a private midnight screening of the latest Twilight Saga movie. Since 2009, when 'New Moon' was released, we have held a fundraising event benefiting the Twilight Moms official charity, Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation.

Recently I hosted a give on Mundie Moms (which ends tonight) for a $60 gift certificate to CSN Stores. CSN stores have over 200 online stores where you can find everything from dinnerware to bookcases to sofas and kitchenware and more! It's the perfect site to find whatever it is you're looking for to add to your home. Believe me, I'd love to get some of their floor to ceiling bookcases to display all my books, including the Twilight ones.

Since we're finishing up with remodeling our home from when our water heater exploded, I'm looking forward to reviewing some products for CSN and sharing my review on here. It's tempting to try and use the excuse, that it would be great to get a new dinning set so that we can have TM get togethers here and have room for everyone.

Thank you so much for everyone who came to our sold out show! With all 178 movie goers there, we were able to raise $509 for The Alex Lemonade Stand!

Thank you SO much to everyone who was apart of making this happen. Thank you to Candice for putting the beautiful ALS baskets together, and to Jennifer for purchasing the ALS merchandise. Thank you to the wonderful Twilight Moms who donated items for each basket and to everyone who bought raffle tickets!

Thank you to a wonderful friend of mine, author Shannon Delany, who's donated us to our raffles for ALS. Shannon's debut book, 13 To Life went on sale last week and I highly recommend it. It's a great YA paranormal book with werewolves. If you took the Cullen family relationship, turned them into wolves and gave them a Russian heritage, you'd have the wolves from 13 To Life.

Hi everyone! We can't believe the movie comes out next week! We can't wait to see it with all of you. Please be sure to read our regulations for movie night:

** Please note that we CAN NOT start lining up UNTIL 9:45 pm. This per the Alamo Draft House. We will begin seating at 10:30 pm for our 12:01 showing. One of our Twilight Moms will be there to start the line.

** Please be sure most of your group is with you when you are seated, as group seats will NOT allowed to be saved. ( If you have a group of 20 and you need to save seats for 7 people, that's fine. What's not allowed is two people waiting in line to save a whole row. We had a lot of problems and complaints about this last year and had to pull in chairs due to people saving seats and then not using all the seats).

** We will have a wait staff provided by the Alamo Draft House. Food and drinks are NOT part of your paid ticket, and are extra.

** NO cameras or videos are allowed into the theater. Please know that if you're caught with them, you will escorted from the showing and you will NOT receive a refund.

** Please make sure YOU HAVE YOUR TICKET. You don't have your ticket, you will not get in. IF a name has changed on the ticket, please let us know, as we will have a list w/ everyone's name on it, and if someone tries to enter who's name is not on the list, they will NOT be allowed in. This is a private event and only those names on the list will be allowed to enter.

** We have wonderful raffle baskets for The Alex Lemonade Stand. Raffle tickets are $1 and 100% of the proceeds goes to ALS. CASH only for the raffle tickets.

Red Licorice Events is hosting a Twilight 5k on June 26th, 7pm at the Hill Country Galleria. The event benefits The Blood and Tissue Center of Central Texas. I am going to contact the organizers to see if it is just a run or if it is okay to walk too.

It could be fun to get a group if anyone is interested or feel free to do it on your own.

Hey everyone! I wanted to post this here, so no one misses it. I wanted to answer a few questions and let everyone know what's going on. Sorry nothing is posted yet. We had some link issues we're trying to fix.

Questions and Answers-

* Eclipse will be the night of the 29th, but shown at 12:01 am on the 30th. Which is how it was for both Twilight and New Moon.

*We're waiting one more day to post the ticket sales, we're working on something on our end. These sales are for TM's only right now. Next Friday they will be open to the public.

*TM's will be notified shortly for the pre-sale before we put them up for sale publicly.

*TM's-be sure to email us if we don't have your emails already (you know if we have it) :D We do need your TM screen name from Twilight Moms.

*Tickets are first come, first serve and once we're sold out, we're sold out.

* Tickets can ONLY be purchased via Pay Pal this year. NO exceptions. You do NOT need a Pay Pal account to purchase tickets via Pay Pal either.

* We will not be doing goody bags this year.

* This is NOT open to the public nor is it open to any one under 18. Alamo Draft House rules are anyone under 18 MUST have an adult w/ them. Since this is A PRIVATE SHOWING, we do limit the number of teens.

*In order to buy tickets, we need names of all those you're buying tickets for, and ages if under 18. Please know, that if we've hit our limit on teens, we will and do have the right to not sale tickets to any more teens. Nothing against teens, but this is a Twilight Moms event.

New Moon DVD Party March 20th

Nancy, Lauralee and I have been busy planning the DVD party. The party will be on Saturday, March 20th. It starts at 6:00pm at Nancy's house. We will have some fun games including NM Bingo and all the board games, will watch all the outtakes and extras then start the movie. We thought long and hard about food and decided on your favorite comfort foods - you know the food you rely on when you are down or just need comforting so bring your favorite comfort food. And if you want something specific to drink, bring that too.

We also thought it would be fun to have little goodie bags to be filled at the party. We have some ideas but we thought it would be fun for each person to bring something little to put in the goody bags then each person would take one home. It could be candy or pins/buttons, or whatever you think - store bought or hand made are all welcome. Since NM is the plan for the night, make is something NM if possible.

We think it will be loads of fun and a great chance to get together. Post here if you are coming and if you already know what you will bring for food, post that too. Deadline Hollywood reports that Breaking Dawn will be made into two movies - WooHoo.

Nikki Finke of Deadline Hollywood is reporting that she’s received confirmation that Breaking Dawn will be made into two movies:

I have this from several sources, and it’s definitive. Filming on the back-to-back movies would begin in mid-October, and Summit Entertainment is looking at “high end” directors.

Although this story is being picked up by various outlets, Summit is still officially saying that “no decision has been made.”
