Thank you all

Well, the big event is over. Hard to believe that all the months of planning are over. What an amazing night! We know you all had a really good time. The wolf howl was a blast, you all impressed us with your creative t-shirts and fun costumes and your knowledge of all things Twilight. The door prizes were a hit and the food was great. Thanks to your generosity, we raised $1300 for Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation with our 13 great raffle baskets. Thank you all for making the event a great success. Thanks to all our sponsors for their donations. Thanks to Gina and Kelly for the great cupcakes. Thanks to all our volunteers for their help. Thanks to my partners in crime, Candice and Lauralee, you are both amazing friends. The Twilight Saga may be at an end but we hope to bring you fun events in the future so continue to follow the blog.

Once Upon a Twilight contributes signed books and swag to ALSF event

Austin TwilightMoms would like to thank book blogger, Ms. Yara, at Once Upon A Twilight for donating a MOUNTAIN of signed books and swag to the ALSF fundraiser.
Ms. Yara is a mega Twilight fan. She lives in Houston, Tx, owns a trucking company and loves to read. Ms. Yara started started the blog, Once Upon a Twilight, in March 2010 as a personal journal of her many Twilight adventures and to keep track of the books she was currently reading.
As people of the interwebs found Once Upon A Twilight, many would leave comments for Ms.Yara or ask her for more details about the books she was reading. Ms. Yara was happy to share her love of books and before long, Once Upon A Twilight had turned into a book review blog boasting over 3,500 followers.
Once Upon A Twilight reviews both YA & MA books across many genres. Once Upon A Twilight was chosen as one of the top 15 finalist for the Independent Book Blogger Awards on Goodreads for the Young Adult & Children's Category for 2012. Ms. Yara and Once Upon A Twilight recently campaigned for Houston to host a release party for the new book, Opal by Jennifer L. Armentrout. And they won!
The 11 person team at Once Upon A Twilight hosts live chats with authors, blog tours, ARC tours, facilitates book giveaways and more.

Just a quick little note to explain check in procedures and schedule of events for the
Breaking Dawn pt 2 event on Thursday.
We will begin to check in guests starting at 7:30pm.
Ms. Laura Lee will be stationed in the Flix lobby with a complete list of guests.
Everyone is listed individually so that
larger parties can check in as each person arrives.
If you've forgotten your seat number Laura Lee can look it up for you.
You will receive a wrist band at check in. The wrist band must be worn.
In order to raise maximum funds for ALSF,
the fundraiser portion of the evening is open to all Flix guests.
Only persons wearing a wrist band will be allowed to enjoy the buffet.
Flix staff and volunteers will be checking for wrist bands.
Please wear your wrist band, we don't want anyone wrongly tossed out!
Wrist bands are sooooo cool!
You will also receive your 2 free raffle tickets at check in. Don't forget to use them!
There are so many awesome raffle baskets!
If you pre purchased raffle tickets you will pick up and sign for them at check in.

or someone just might bite your head off.

Austin original Plucker's donates gift card to BD2 event!

Plucker's Wing bar has contributed a $25 gift certificate to the Austin Twilight Moms Breaking Dawn premiere event and fundraiser for ALSF!

Plucker's Wing Bar is an Austin original. The idea for Plucker's was hatched in the dorm room of two UT freshmen in 1991 who realized that the Austin area was badly in need of a good 'wings' restaurant that offered dine- in, take- out, and delivery services.

Over the next four years, sauces were tested, loans arranged, & in the summer of 1995; the original Plucker's; 'MD Pluckers Wings Factory & Grill' was finally opened.

Plucker's menu includes popular favorites of waffle fries smothered in bacon and cheese, buttermilk onion rings, macaroni & cheese, fried Twinkies, fried Oreos, chicken sandwiches... and of course wings! In addition to Plucker's regular menu offerings, guests can also order from a gluten-free menu.

Plucker's has 10 locations in Texas, five being in the Austin area, and two Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Each location hosts its own array of daily specials and events ranging from 'Kids Eat Free', 'Teachers Appreciation night', 'Bike Night' and 'Wingo', Plucker's very own spin on bingo and more.

Plucker's even has it's own club! Plucker's club members enjoy a free appetizer upon enrollment, rotating 'free' items, free birthday meals for you and your household, meal and drink specials, and invitations to member only events. Plus, Plucker's club members earn one point for every dollar spent on food, redeemable towards a meal!
